2020 Acura TLX A-Spec. It Doesn’t have any other packages like tech or elite though. Overall much nicer to drive than the last gen TLX. Suspension feels actually firm and the new transmission mapping is MUCH better.

Fire away.

What do you mean “last gen TLX”? My understanding is that this is essentially a mid cycle refresh of the same car that’s been on the market since 2015. Did they make any major mechanical changes for 2018 ?

2019 saw transmission hardware and software, and the A-Spec has different springs, campers, and sway bars. They also changed some interior materials to better fit with the place in the market (metal look versus wood look)

Oh and in 2018 the infotainment saw a much more responsive screen and overall 30% speed boost.

Don’t really need to go to hick drags to see how a modern car does, every mag has tested it. ~5.7-.8 - 60mph, 1/4 in ~14.2-.3

Yep! I was out with it taking photos last night, which meant driving around empty roads near industrial facilities, and it is really planted. You NEED to get the SH-AWD model if you want it to really strut it’s stuff, but I was really impressed with it overall. As far as I’m concerned , the A-Spec is the only model worth considering, the suspension upgrades really bring the package together versus the non A-Spec. The transmission was also very responsive, to the point that I didn’t care it was a regular automatic. A big step up from the previous version of the 9ZF. Obviously you should drive it yourself to form your own opinion, but it was a great car to drive. Even managed 8L /100km on the way in to work today on the highway.

Thanks. At some point I will be looking to replace my ‘07 Si sedan. I do not want a newer version of what I have today so  the new RDX might be the one.
